It’s all about Groove and SharePoint Workspace

The first Microsoft certification exam dedicated to Groove is currently in Beta. (Planned to be live in October)

Referenced “71-555″, it is called “TS : Microsoft Office Groove 2007, Configuring”. By “TS”, understand “technology Specialist”.

The goal of this exam is to evaluate operational skills applied to Groove architecture set up : Groove client deployment, Servers (Relay, Manager, Audit, DataBrige) installation and configuration

 

I gave it a try wednesday morning. I’m currently waiting to know if I succeeded or failed.  I have to wait until the end of the Beta period to get my score. To be honnest, I have to say that “dice were loaded” : I was involved on exam setup as SME (Subject Matter Expert) at Montreal in July.

What I would like to say on this topic :

This kind of work (I mean develop a certification exam) is a very interresting task, more complex that I thought…

Finding the good way to write the question, Finding the distractors… It’s an art !

Hopefully, we had sharp skilled professionnals to help us (Thanks David. Thanks Jon)
