See you at TechED Barcelona…

Fabrice BARBIN | Wednesday October 22nd, 2008 | 02:35 PM

TechED Barcelona

From Nov 10th to Nov 14th, I will be at Barcelona for Microsoft TechED.

Like last year, you will be able to find me on the Groove booth.

I will also be speaker on a session dedicated to Groove.

Here is the abstract :

How to extend and integrate Groove

This session will provide attendees with a global overview of available methods to extend Groove capabilities. Using Forms, we will explain how to create customized applications for your Groove workspaces. We will also explain how to integrate Groove with external applications such as SharePoint or to create secured distributed applications. The session will be illustrated by several demos…Some of them will be Business oriented, others will be more playful!

Fabrice BARBIN | Thursday October 16th, 2008 | 11:18 PM

“Office Ultimate 2007 for Student” operation allows students to get Office 2007 for 52€.The great news is that Groove is included in Office Ultimate !

But, this operation is also an opportunity to provide students with complementary resources, useful for studies.

For example, students benefit from Groove workspace templates they can reuse and adapt to fit their daily needs: project management, group management, former students network… Made of specific tools, these templates provide students with a quick start.

Students can also benefit from a specific offer on the GrooveIT! products line. This range contains products that offer integration between Office components and is more precisely focused on Groove. For example, GrooveIT! for Outlook provides a link between Outlook and Groove to easily transfer emails, tasks, contacts, RSS feeds and events from Outlook to Groove workspaces. Sharing information with friends or colleagues, archiving, synchronizing several computers… there are several use cases…

With the same idea, GrooveIT! For My Documents enables documents to be stored in a Groove workspace directly from within Word, Excel or PowerPoint. It also provides search and SharePoint integration capabilities. As a summary, a full set of features to work more effectively with Office products.

It’s all about Groove: new design – new URL

Fabrice BARBIN | Monday October 6th, 2008 | 10:31 PM

It was an on-going project since July…

A new design to celebrate the first anniversary of this blog !

I spent a lot of time migrating all existing posting from the former platform to this new one. About 100 posting to set up again, links to recreate, images to export, import and resize… A tedious task that obliged me to reduce the number of postings written during the summer period

But… this new redesigned blog is now up and ready

The URL(*) is also be more easy to remind : http://blog.fbarbin.com

And “icing on the cake”, this new blog is written in both english and french

Your feedbacks and comments are of course welcome ! (**)

(*) : Do not forget to update your RSS reader with this new URL : http://blog.fbarbin.com/feed/
(**) : But please, do not tell me you preferred the former version ;-)
